Counsellor Directory

This innovative membership service serves to promote business information about your counselling practice, specialized services and skills as well as the ability to upload a profile picture and business logo. With futurist trends heading towards a generation that seeks information online as well as a specific set of skills, knowledge and experience, the CPCA believes this directory will provide a competitive edge for marketing our member's counselling services across Canada to the public, insurance providers, EAP contractors and government for verification of your legitimacy. All members who are in "good standing" will be approved to list their contact information in the directory on an annual basis. It allows our members to login to their directory listing once it has been approved and make any changes to their contact information.

Clinical Supervision & Clinical Counselling

Dr. Elisabeth's designation is MPCC-S and her academic background includes diploma courses in counselling, an undergraduate degree, and a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology, and a Ph.D in Psychology. She has been a counsellor for 20+ years and worked for non-profit and in private practice.
Elisabeth currently has a private practice on Vancouver Island in BC and specializes in clinical supervision, couple counselling, mood and anxiety disorders, trauma and grief.

Clients have the option to come to the office, or use remote modalities, such as zoom, phone or interactive email counselling.

Clinical supervision is mostly done using Zoom as participants are located across Canada.
Elisabeth offers individual and group competency-based clinical supervision to candidates and registered counsellors.

In individual supervision, Elisabeth ensures that candidates gain confidence in developing solid therapeutic relationships and become proficient in addressing informed consent, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans and in becoming efficient in writing progress notes.

The groups address any topic relevant to the practice of counselling therapy such as the ethical use of assessments, and working with clients with a variety of complicated mental health issues.
Examples include: developments in the treatment of mood disorders; working with trauma, and complex grief, couple therapy and rupture in couple relationships, the DSM-5-TR, our values, biases and core beliefs, recognizing poor research and last, but not least, the discussion of client cases.

Elisabeth is known for her passion for ethics, research and feedback informed psychotherapy and encourages critical thinking. Supervision benefits all no matter how long in the profession, it keeps us connected and informed. Those interested in supervision can request a free consultation.
